LiftCharts (“the App”) is designed with your privacy in mind. This policy explains what data the App collects, how it is used, and your rights regarding that data.
All core personal data — including workout logs, body measurements, nutrition entries, and user preferences — is stored locally on your device using Apple’s on-device storage. We do not operate our own servers and do not collect, transmit, or store this data remotely.
The App offers optional social features (profiles, following, community leaderboards). If you choose to create a social profile, the following data is stored in Apple’s iCloud (CloudKit) public database and may be visible to other users of the App:
• Username • Fitness level (a computed score, not raw workout data) • Selected achievement badges • Theme preference • Premium subscription status • Follow and follower relationships • Block relationships (visible only to you)
Your raw workout data, body measurements, nutrition logs, and other personal information are never uploaded or shared. Only the summary data listed above is stored in CloudKit.
Social features require you to be at least 13 years of age. Users who have not provided their age or are under 13 cannot create a social profile.
Usernames and bios are filtered for inappropriate language. Users can block other users and report profiles for violations (offensive username, inappropriate bio, spam, harassment, or other reasons). Reports are stored in CloudKit and include the reporter’s account ID, the reported user’s account ID, the reason, and any additional detail provided.
If you use social features, the App uses your iCloud account identifier to associate your profile. No other iCloud data is accessed. If you do not use social features, no iCloud data is accessed at all.
The App may read step count data from Apple HealthKit with your explicit permission. HealthKit data is used solely to display your step history within the App. The App does not write data to HealthKit. HealthKit data is never shared with third parties or stored remotely.
When you search for food items, the App sends your search text to the OpenFoodFacts API and/or the USDA FoodData Central API to retrieve nutritional information. No personal data, device identifiers, or account information is included in these requests.
The App does not use any analytics SDKs, advertising frameworks, or tracking technologies. We do not collect usage statistics, device fingerprints, or behavioral data.
The App does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide an email address to use core features. Social features use your iCloud account for identity — no separate registration is required.
All payments are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect, process, or have access to your payment information.
• Local data: Deleting the App from your device removes all locally stored data. • Social data: If you have created a social profile, your profile, follow relationships, and block records are stored in Apple’s CloudKit. You can delete your username in the App to remove your public profile. Alternatively, deleting the App and signing out of iCloud will disassociate your data.
Social features are restricted to users age 13 and older. The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through its social features. Core features (workout logging, nutrition tracking, etc.) do not collect or transmit any data and are available to users of all ages.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
